File Transfer Protocol
(FTP) - A protocol used for transmitting files electronically
from one computer to another, particularly over the Internet,
via modem dial-up, DSL or a LAN.
Functional Acknowledgement (FA) - Commonly
referred to as the 997. A transaction a company transmits back
to the sending company that acts as a confirmation certificate
that the original transaction has been received. An example
is when you transmit ASNs, the Functional Acknowledgment confirms
for you that your Trading Partners have successfully received
your transmission. |
