Packing List
- Itemized list of commodities with marks/numbers but no cost
values indicated.
Payment Remittance Advice - An e-commerce document
type that serves as a statement for payments made electronically
to your bank. In EDI, this is referred to as an 820 document.
Pick-Pack ASN - Used to describe a shipment
that contains cartons with mixed SKUs. This is considered to
be a very random method of packing items, and in turn can be
the most time consuming.
Private Network - A network consisting of a
system of owned and leased lines that can only be used by one
company and its subscribers.
Production Deadline - The date by which your
Trading Partner requires you to have implemented an e-commerce
program with them. Many suppliers wait until the deadline is
approaching, and this leads to unnecessary stress and potential
financial penalties. It is recommended that you start your e-commerce
initiative as early as possible, but at least 30 days from the
deadline.
Pro Number - Assigned by the Carrier/trucker,
this is the tracking number used by the Carrier to track the
status of the shipment. This number is only assigned when shipping
a full TL (Truck Load).
