Unprocessed and usually unformatted data; a stream of bits that
has not been filtered for commands or special characters. More
generally, information that has been collected but not evaluated.

type that serves as a statement for payments made electronically
to your bank. In EDI, this is referred to as an 820 document.
Return on Investment (ROI) - A measure of the
benefit of investing resources into something, as measured by
the cost savings (cost avoidance) or profit to be gained over
a period of time as a result of the investment.
RFID
Radio Frequency Identification is the use of tags that store item, carton and pallet information about the merchandise being shipped from one party to another. RFID tags transmit signals that can be read by remote devices for tracking the merchandise as it moves through the supply chain.
Rip-and-Read - Refers to a process where a
trading partner receives business data electronically, but just
prints it out to be handled like any paper document. Companies
