June 2002 - eZCom Software introduces Web-CONNECT, an online solution designed to make electronic data interchange (EDI) possible for small supply-side companies without the high costs of hardware, software and human resources normally associated with the technology. Web-CONNECT lets suppliers connect with any number of trading partners using a single log-in. Small suppliers do not need to join an exchange or marketplace, or buy software to use Web-CONNECT. The solution allows users to manage orders and invoices easily and effectively online, according to eZCom Software. Web-CONNECT supports EDI and XML, and is ready to support for additional standards such as Peer-to-Peer (P2P) networks.
