Computer Automating Data

Automate nearly everything

Or make it a la carte.

Automation makes it possible to transform EDI and online order processing from a tedious, time-consuming process into a genuine competitive advantage. But it can also be daunting. How much automation is right for your company? Do you want to automate as many tasks as possible? Can you set it up to meet the requirements of your various trading partners? Who will be the primary points of contact for each task? With Lingo, you have the power to automate EDI and online order processing, creating workflows that match the needs of your operation.

Lingo can be preset to automate these documents and tasks.

  • 940 Warehouse Order

  • 810/880 Invoice Transmission
  • and More

Lingo lets users establish variables for specific orders in Settings.

  • Item Presets that Auto-Populate Weights

For items that are shipped on a consistent basis, establish their weights in Settings so they auto-populate when an order comes into Lingo.

  • Automate Packing based on Item Presets

For items that are shipped the same way on a recurring basis, establish the packing pattern in Settings and Lingo will use that when an order comes in.

  • Email Alerts

In Settings, choose the email alerts you want to receive—they can be established for every transaction or set so they are most valuable to your workflow.

Automation the way you want it. From just about everything to only a few things.

Handle drop shipping without dropping the ball.

Drop ship orders through retailers can be challenging for suppliers. Instead of sending hundreds of items to a single address like a store location or a distribution center, you are required to send a single item directly to the consumer. Here’s how automation can make the process far more manageable and less time-consuming for your team:

  • Retail trading partner makes an order request through the EDI 850—it’s pushed into Lingo.
  • Order information, including shipping weights, has already been established in Settings. As a result, Lingo can automatically send the necessary information to the shipping provider, and labels and tracking information are returned.

  • If necessary, Lingo will automatically generate retailer-branded packing slips and labels. This information is sent to the warehouse/3PL for the Pick, Pack, and Ship.
  • An ASN (Advance Shipment Notice/EDI 856) is automatically sent to the retailer while an Invoice (EDI 810) is automatically generated from the ASN and sent.  Instead of hours, the process is completed in a matter of minutes without the need for staff to tackle each task.

Move order data to your shipping provider, accounting software, and back to the retailer.

Automate more tasks by integrating Lingo with shipping providers and your accounting software. Here’s how:

  • Retail trading partner makes an order request through the EDI 850—it’s pushed into Lingo.
  • Order information, including shipping weights, has already been established in Settings. As a result, Lingo can automatically send the necessary information to the shipping provider, and labels and tracking information are returned.
  • Concurrently, order information automatically flows into accounting software—QuickBooks or another system you rely on. The accounting software generates an invoice number and sends it back into Lingo—no need for you or your team to complete this task.
  • An ASN (Advance Shipment Notice/EDI 856) is automatically sent to the retailer while an Invoice (EDI 810) is automatically generated from the ASN and sent.

Online order processing that isn’t time-intensive.

Whether it’s an order from an online marketplace like Amazon or from your own eCommerce store, our Lingo software makes the process automated and integrates with your ERP. Here’s how:

  • A shopper buys an item from you online—Amazon, Shopify, or any other channel. This purchase flows into your Lingo software just like a traditional EDI transaction from a retail trading partner.
  • Lingo moves the information into your ERP, and a confirmation is sent back to Lingo.
Automated Animation
  • Lingo sends the Warehouse Shipping Order (EDI 940) to your distribution center or 3PL, along with all the labels necessary to complete the Pick-and-Pack process.  Once complete, the Warehouse Shipping Advice (EDI 945) is returned to Lingo and integrated into your ERP to provide confirmation.
  • If the sales channel requires it, order confirmation is submitted automatically once the order is picked up. Once the shipment is made (direct or EDI 945), shipping information such as carrier/service and tracking numbers are automatically sent to the sales channel and then emailed to the customer.
  • Automated inventory integration with the sales channel.
  • A high-touch, labor-intensive process for a single order becomes a seamless automated process.
