Managing Direct-to-Consumer Orders

For EDI and eCommerce transactions.

Isometric d2c placing order

YOUR DROP SHIP ORDERS FUEL SALES. AND ANXIETY.

Direct-to-consumer sales have increased your revenues. But processing the orders is time-consuming and complex.

ORDERS OF A SINGLE ITEM. MULTIPLE SHIP LOCATIONS. INVENTORY REQUIREMENTS.

Sure, the order may only be one item. But it’s challenging because there are a lot of orders just like it, and they’re all shipping to different places. What’s more, retailers expect you to maintain inventory levels and inform them when something is out-of-stock before someone orders it.

YOU NEED LABELS. AND PACKING SLIPS. AND THEY NEED TO BE CUSTOM-BRANDED.

Do you log in to another system to print labels and packing slips? Are you struggling to make sure you pair the right packing slips with the custom branded labels? When you ship items direct-to-consumer, the complexity and possibility of errors grows.

YOU‘RE MOVING LOTS OF DATA. AND YOU’RE DOING IT MANUALLY?

When direct-to-consumer orders multiply, you may find yourself transferring more information from one place to another. A lot more. If it’s not automated, you’re making it more difficult than necessary. And doing the same task over and over and over. And over.

IT’S TIME TO BRING EVERYTHING TOGETHER.

When direct-to-consumer orders increase, so do all the details. You need to bring it all together.

Direct to consumer

When you’re drop shipping direct-to-consumer, you’re managing all kinds of details that you need to get right to maintain strong relationships with retailers. But your time is also valuable, and handling thousands of orders of a single item can start to consume it. The answer? An automated approach on a platform that moves data seamlessly.

Looking to streamline and automate the order process? Reach out to schedule a no-pressure conversation.

Direct-to-consumer challenges are unique. Here are some examples of our custom solutions.

ezcom connects to Macys and UPS

Company A was shipping direct-to-consumer using EDI with Macy’s, logging into UPS and creating shipping labels one at a time.  They were also creating invoices and manually copying and pasting information. Processing every single direct-to-consumer order this way was far too time-consuming.

Solution: With our Lingo software, they can integrate with UPS easily to automate and  streamline the process. EDI information, shipping labels, packing slip, invoices—all of it is now powered by our platform and processed the same way. Instead of spending hours processing a single direct-to-consumer order, they are moving thousands of it at once without any copying and pasting.

Company B was processing direct-to-consumer orders from Macy’s through EDI, while also using WooCommerce to sell on their own online store. They relied on QuickBooks and WMS for inventory management. The process involved multiple manual steps, including the creation of spreadsheets and the need to upload data to QuickBooks and their warehouse.

eZCom Connects to Retial, eCommerce, QuickBooks, and 3PLs

Solution: We integrated Lingo with QuickBooks and connected to the WMS used by the 3PL, so data now moves automatically and seamlessly. Order information is merged into QuickBooks and invoices are automatically generated. Tracking information is transferred from orders without the issues that copy-and-paste actions create.

eZCom Connects to 3pls, Retail, eCommerce, and ERP's

Company C had all kinds of orders from different channels—EDI transactions with retailers, purchases from online marketplaces, and sales on their own eCommerce store. They also used a retailer-required inventory network platform (DSCO) and had a 3PL. They were forced to log into multiple systems to process information and spent hours sending data to NetSuite, the ERP they relied on.

Solution: The company now works in its ERP with Lingo fully integrated, driving the flow of order information into the ERP and back out again.  The company can process orders in batch, instead of being forced to manage them one at a time. With direct-to-consumer orders, that automation adds efficiency and saves hours of time every week.
